About Copernicia alba
Unlike most of the other species of this genus, this species is native to South America. It has a gray, slender, solitary trunk and is typically covered with leaf debris. The crown is circular and can have more than 50 green, fan shaped leaves. The inflorescences stand out from the leaf crown. Flowers are pale, cream-colored. Fruit becomes brown or black when fully ripe. Not well known in cultivation.

Cultivation Tips
Select a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Maintain moist, well drained soil. This species is the most cold hardy of all Copernicias. Feed regularly during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer.
