How It Works
1. Become a Member
Joining our community is easy. Simply register for a new account and upload any palm photos you have to start contributing!
2. Photo Contributions
Every photo on this site has been provided by our members! After registering, members are encouraged to share photos they have taken (at home, in their communities or while traveling) of beautiful palm specimens. Photos will be saved to their profile and members can create a palm photo collection for easy retrieval anytime!
3. Species Library
Did you know that there are 2,800 species of palm trees? Our goal is to collect images for each species from our members. The species library allows you to find the species you are looking for and learn more about it and how to care for it. New pages will be added as we collect images from our members. “Like” an image to cast your vote for the image that you find most appealing!
4. Species Polls
Polls will be conducted on the site with a selection of different photos of the same palm species. Photo contributions from our members will be used in the polls. 3 photos of the same species will be presented for members to choose their favorite palm. Members will be notified about the new poll. Members may vote for (“Like”) the specimen of their preference. Votes are collected throughout the duration of the poll and final results are communicated at the conclusion of the poll.
