Did you see the recent Accenture commercial, titled 'Walking Tree'?
In the 30 second spot, it features the species Socratea exorrhiza, common name The Walking Palm.
The ad really hit home for me!
2. Palms In the News
I also came across the news article below out of India. It seems as if the government in this province in eastern India is funding a palm plantation to reduce the risk of deaths from lightning strikes.
Whatever increases the planting of palm trees sounds like a great idea to me! Read article here.
