About Veitchia joannis
A palm from the tropical, lowland rainforests. It produces a slender trunk with a tall green, almost white crownshaft and arching pinnate leaves in the crown. It is one of the taller growing veitchias commonly cultivated and can be distinguished from the other similar veitchias by the habit of the leaves which droop much below the horizontal as they age.

Cultivation Tips
Plant in a location that receives partial to full sun. This species prefers rich, sandy and well drained soil. Water the tree regularly, but be careful not to overwater. The soil should be kept moist, but not soggy. Fertilize the tree periodically during the growing season.
