About Ravenea madagascariensis
This is a solitary palm with a slender trunk. The crown is made up of large, arching pinnate leaves with narrow green leaflets that can appear slightly plumose or feathery, especially on well-grown specimens. The inflorescences emerge from among the leaves, with male and female flowers produced on separate plants, as is typical for the genus. The fruit is small and rounded to oval, developing after pollination on female plants.
