About Oraniopsis appendiculata
In habitat, this species can be found in rainforests at medium altitude in mountain ranges in northern Queensland. This is a solitary palm with a slender gray trunk will become ringed with old leaf scars. It has a shuttlecock like crown with long, thin green leaflets that have a bronze color on the undersides, hence its common name. When in bloom, the white flowers are spirally arranged. Due to its extremely slow growth rate and humidity and shad requirements, this species is not often found in cultivation.

Cultivation Tips
Plant in a sheltered location that receives full to partial shade, more protection from the sun when young. It requires rich, consistently moist soil that drains well. It should be watered regularly, but not overwatered. Feed occasionally with a high quality palm fertilizer.
