About Normanbya normanbyi
This species is a solitary palm with a slender, ringed trunk that often darkens as it ages. The crown has dark green, bushy, plumose leaves. The inflorescence emerges at the base of the crownshaft and has small, green flowers. The pear shaped fruit turns orangish brown as it ripens.
