About Livistona muelleri
This species a medium size solitary palm with a trunk covered in old leaf bases. The fan shaped leaves are medium to light green, with stiff, deeply divided leaflets and heavily armed petioles. When in bloom, the unbranched inflorescence emerges from within the leaves and is a red to maroon color. The fruit is oblong and turns reddish-black to bluish-black when fully ripe.

Cultivation Tips
Select a location that receives partial shade when young. As it matures, it can handle full sun. Plant in rich soil with good drainage. This species has a bit of cold tolerance and can withstand brief period of frost. Feed occasionally during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer. Still somehwat uncommon in cultivation.
