About Latania loddigesii

This species is a solitary palm with a thick pale gray trunk topped with a crown of thick, stiff, silvery blue fan shaped leaves. The leaves are covered with dense, wooly tomentum on the underside. The petiole is smooth and armed with sharp teeth near its base. Fruit is oblong and green to brown as it ripens.
