About Dictyosperma album var. conjugatum
This species is a solitary palm with a short, robust trunk and a pale green crownshaft. The leaves are silvery-gray and arching, forming a dense crown. The tips of the leaflets are joined together by almost persistent reins running along the edge of the leaf and making this variety immediately recognizable. The inflorescence is a single stem that emerges from the stem just below the base of the crownshaft with long clusters of reddish-brown flowers. The small, round fruit turns red as it ripens. The last known individual of this unique variety was downed by a windstorm in late 2024, marking its official extinction from its native habitat.

Cultivation Tips
Select a location that receives partial shade to full sun. It can handle more sun as it matures. Plant in rich soil that drains well. Water regularly, but take precautions not to over water as this species is somewhat drought tolerant. Feed occasionally during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer. Still quite rare in cultivation.
