About Clinostigma harlandii
This species is a graceful solitary palm with a slender, smooth, ringed trunk that can reach impressive heights. Its crownshaft is a distinct green cylinder, tapering smoothly into the trunk below and supporting a full crown of elegantly arching pinnate leaves. The fronds are long and feathery, with leaflets arranged in a neat, even fashion, giving the canopy a light and airy look. Inflorescences appear below the crownshaft, producing clusters of cream to yellowish flowers that are followed by small, ovoid fruits that ripen from green to bright red. Still quite rare in cultivation.
