The crown holds a modest number of arching, pinnate leaves in a deep, glossy green, each with narrow, elegant leaflets. Small, cream-colored inflorescences appear below the leaves and are followed by small, round, red to black fruits as they mature. This palm’s understated beauty and compact size make it a favorite for collectors with limited space. Native to southern China and northern Vietnam, its name reflects its petite stature—nana meaning “dwarf.”
