About Chrysalidocarpus decaryi
This is a medium-sized solitary species with gray trunk topped with a three-ranked crown of pinnate leaves. It is notable for the triangular shape that is formed by three distinct points where the fronds emerge. The fronds are bluish-green to silvery-green, stiff, arching almost upright. The inflorescence is moderately branched, yellow to green and emerges from the lower fronds. The oval fruits turn from from green to red as the become ripe.

Cultivation Tips
Formely Dypsis decaryi. Plant in a well-drained area adding top soil or organic peat to the hole before placing the palm. Although it is very drought tolerant once established, it thrives with regular moisture. Keep on the dry side during the winter. No pruning is required. This palm is naturally resistant to pests but may require regular fertilization to prevent potassium deficiencies, which cause dead leaf tips.
