About Chambeyronia macrocarpa
This solitary palm has large arching fronds and wide leaflets that are thick in texture. Its trunk is ringed with leaf scars and has a dark green crownshaft. It is notable for the vibrant color of its new leaves which emerge a stunning red color. The new leaf will gradually turn to green. The large fruit turns an intense red color as it ripens.

Cultivation Tips
While it likes full sun when mature, provide some sun protection when you and place it in a location with partial shade. This species likes rich sandy soil, but is adaptable to clay and loam both slightly alkaline and acidic. Good drainage is important and it should not sit in standing water. Apply fertilizer that has continuous release formula twice a year during growing season. Full size specimens are difficult to transplant once roots are established.
