About Chamaedorea cataractarum

This species is a small, understory palm with slender, green stems and feather-like leaves. The leaves are usually dark green in color. The tree produces small, orange or yellow fruit in late winter or early spring. It is a popular houseplant, due to its ability to thrive in low light conditions and its attractive, delicate foliage. Cultivation Tips

This species is relatively easy to care for, and grow well either indoors or outside. It will do best in full to partial shade, and indirect bright light indoors. Water regularly and plant in well draining soil. Keep soil evenly moist, never let it dry completely. While this species doesn’t require very high humidity, it's important to not expose it to dry air for a long time as it can cause damage to the plant. Feed regularly during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer.
