Cultivation Tips
In the wild, this is an understory palm, so select a location that receives full shade to partial shade, especially when young. As it matures, it can handle more sun. Plant in rich soil, high in organic matter. Water regularly, and ensure soil drains well, as it is not salt tolerant. Feed occasionally during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer.
