About Acrocomia totai
This is a very attractive solitary palm notable for its slight bulging gray trunk ringed with black spines. As the tree matures, the spines come off. It is topped with very long leaves that arch from the crown. The long inflorescence grows between the leaves and is partially hidden by them. Fruit is edible, round, and turns yellow or orange when mature.
