About Acanthophoenix crinita
This is an unusual forest palm that is prized for its ornamental appearance. It is a relatively small species with a slender, ringed and sometimes mildly spiny trunk and a prickly, usually swollen crownshaft. It's crown is topped with straight or arching, feather-shaped leaves that can reach lengths of up to 4 meters. Cultivation Tips
Choose a location that receives full sun to partial shade, as this species prefers bright, indirect light. Plant in well-draining soil mix, as it does not tolerate standing water. Water occasionallly, but be sure to allow the soil to dry out slightly between watering. Feed with a balanced fertilizer every few months to encourage healthy growth.
