About Sabal yapa
This species is a solitary evergreen palm with a slender trunk. It is topped by a crown of 15 - 20 fan-shaped leaves with narrow, drooping segments. The plant originally grew mainly in deciduous woodlands, but with habitat destruction it is found persisting in open areas.
Cultivation Tips
This species grows best in a sunny position. It prefers limestone-based calcareous soils. tropics and sub-tropic environments. It will thrive in moist, but well drained soil. They seem to have some degree of drought tolerance. Feed occasionally during the growing season with a high quality palm fertililzer.
