Cultivation Tips

Select a location that receives partial shade to full sun.  Plant in rich soil with excellent drainage.  Take preauction not to overwater as this species is well suited for the drier tropics.  It is somewhat cold hardy and can withstand an occasional light freeze.  Feed occasionally during the growing season with a high quality palm fertilizer.
