About Chrysalidocarpus lutescens
Formerly Dypsis lutescens. This is a tender, evergreen, multi-stemmed palm species. It can grow up to 8m tall, producing large leaves, up to 2m in length, that are lance-shaped and with yellow-green leaflets. Grown mainly for the tropical feeling foliage, the leaves are frond-like and arching, growing on cane stems.
Cultivation Tips
Water regularly to keep the soil moist. Check the soil and add water when the surface is dry. Outdoors, these plants like filtered sunlight but they also can tolerate full sun. Indoors, these palms do best with bright light exposure from a south- or west-facing window. Fertilize your palm two or three times during the growing season.
