About Chamaerops humilis var. vulcano
This species is a dwarf form of the Mediterranean Fan Palm. It is a slow-growing, compact palm that is ideal for smaller spaces. The palm has a dense head of evergreen, fan-shaped leaves that are stiff and corrugated with silvery undersides. It has fewer thorns and more space between the thorns than the well-known Chamaerops humilis.
Cultivation Tips
This palm grows best in partial shade in a location where it receives bright indirect sunlight. Water the plant moderately when it is actively growing, but only sparingly in the winter, taking precautions not overwater. Feed with a balanced palm fertilizer four times per year.
