About Archontophoenix cunninghamiana
This is a slender solitary palm with a smooth trunk, ringed with noticeable leaf scars. The base of the petioles form a greenish-yellow to brown crownshaft that the leaves rarely droop below. The crown is formed by fifteen to twenty evergreen fronds that emerge from the crownshaft. The leaflet color is medium to dark green above, and paler green underneath. The inflorescence has numerous branches and hangs below the crownshaft. The flowers are pink to lavender in color. The oval shaped fruit turns bright red as it ripens.
Cultivation Tips
Plant in a location that receives partial to full sun. Requires consistently moist soil, do not let dry palm out between watering. Fertilize regularly during the growing season.
