About Acoelorrhaphe wrightii
This species is a hardy clumping fan palm with slender trunks coated in a fibrous matte covering. If uncontrolled and watered regularly, clumps can become rather large and dense, nearly impenetrable. It does well if pruned regularly and can even be grown as a few stemmed plant, trimming off suckers as they come up, making an interesting specimen for smaller spaces.
Cultivation Tips
Plant in a location that receives partial shade to full sun. This species is widely adaptable to different soil types, but ensure it drains well. While this palm is somewhat drought tolerant, it can also tolerate standing water. Apply good quality palm fertilizer that has continuous release formula twice a year during growing season.
